Thank you very much for the continuous business with us.As you already experienced we give priority to compliance with environmental regulations.
PFHxA (Perfluorohexanoic acid), is a substance that has water-repellent, oil-repellent, stain-resistant, and flame-retardant properties.
This substance is used in textile products, leather goods and interior design products, abrasives and cleaning agents, coatings, impregnating/reinforcing agents and other products.
Due to its persistence, high bioaccumulation, and long-range transport potential, it has been decided to add it as a restricted substance under the REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) regulation.
As a result, the EU will ban the manufacture, import, use, etc. in the EU as early as October 10, 2026 based on the REACH regulation.
In light of this regulatory development, we kindly request your cooperation in investigating the content of PFHxA in the parts being delivered or planned to be delivered to us, and the switch-over to alternative substances thereafter.
Our request,
1. Please fill out and sign the attached „Declaration of Non-Inclusion of Environmentally Hazardous Substances“ regarding PFHxA.
2. If there are parts which contains the substance, please also fill out the „containing parts” sheet of the document.
3. Please send back signed Declaration in pdf form. In case of the „containing parts” sheet, if there is any parts listen on that list, please also send back the filled list in Excel format.
